Audigy 2 Mic 2

I am trying to get my mic2 to work in gutsy. I use the front mic for my guitar. It works fine on windows. I have looked through every possible channel in alsamixer. There is an option for mic 1 / 2, changing it doesn't seem to do anything. Any help is much appreciated.

just a guess, but is the mute function on in alsamixer?

Haha, no. I unmuted the mic. But I remember in Edgy I actually had a separate channel for the line-in2 / mic2. This is also how it is on windows
