Is there a way to download shows that are shown on Discovery.com in their streaming player (like Dirty Jobs) and watch them in MythVideo? I'm assuming I'd need to do something like streamripper for last.fm that downloads the music as it is streamed. I don't have a problem doing this but I was curious if anyone has had any luck getting Discovery.com shows into myth.

Bump.
I would love to see this as well.
If MythTV is not possible does anyone at least know how to install the discovery.com player into linux so we can at least watch it on the computer?

Discovery.com is using the Move player, just like ABC.com. No one has got it to work that I know of (from a quick Google search).

Like any video, you could play the desired video on a Windows machine that has a video card with S-Video or Composite outputs. Connect those analog outputs to a second machine that can capture video and you can make a recording.

If you want to stay all digital, look into Camtasia's Screen Recorder product.

Once captured, you can bring the content over to your Linux box.
