[SOLVED] Can't get Midiman Midisport 1x1 (Uno) to work

Hi. I have an M Audio Uno USB MIDI interface but I can't get it to work. I downloaded and installed the firmware from http://usb-midi-fw.sourceforge.net but still it is not working and can't see it from rosegarden or jack. The lights on the interface don't light up when connected or anything. Any ideas on what might be happening? Did I miss something on the installation process?

Just an update to my last post: I downloaded and installed the midisport-firmware package using synaptic but couldn't get it to work. :confused: Any suggestions?
