Hi
You can create a directory in your home directory called .icons and install addititional icons there. (mkdir ~/.icons).
As for themes, you should check out www.gnome.org

VERY nice desktop. Could please you comment ? :)
The Quicktime icon (this is Quicktime, isn't it ?) makes me think that you have QT installed ? Is this possible ?
Thanks !

No it's pure Gnome. I run quicktime through CrossOver Office.

Hi AI,
I'm curious, how/what are you using for the taskbar/menu at the bottom of the screen? I really like the rounded edges on it. And while I'm at it, how did you get the shading on the panel at the top of the screen? What applets are you running on the panel in the upper right corner? Oh, and what did you have for breakfast today \\:D/ (joking)

Yay i love KDE... its so much nicer than Gnome! Now if only i could make the whole "Panel" transparent. I can make everything but the open application thingys transparent. Anyone know how to fix that?
P.S. Kubuntu/Ubuntu is 100x better than Mepis.
It actually installs to ur hdd and boots! And not totally f's up ur partition table and MBR

Well alot of questions :)
About the stuff with round edge. It's part of the Gdesklets. The buttom panel Psi-tasklist. The middle is LTPager and the upper is LTNotify.
The panel shade is just part of the D3a. I think bvc (the maker of the theme) have removed it in an update.
Upper Panel, From right to left: The clock, Volume control, gxmms, weather report, Command line, disk mounter.
And I ate Cornflakes for breakfast ;)

Cornflakes is a kind of cereal... His mother would probably be proud that he ate healthily (vs. those sugary ones e.g. Frosted Flakes). I for one can't stand Cornflakes...
Anyway, I believe this forum is for How To's only.
