Is this thread good enough to be a sticky?

I wish to know if this thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=617349) has got what it takes to become a sticky thread. It has been there for quite a while yet no one has found it rather necessary to make it a sticky, could someone help me out if it something with the layout of the instructions or if it is unnecessary at all?
Thanks.
Forgive me for double posting, the reason I did it was because as I read this a little lightly:-
What should be posted here?
1. If you wish to have a thread removed from the jail post and explain why.
2. If you have a complaint about abuse/harrassment from a forum member or staff.
3. If there is a pending forum issue that isn't being handled correctly by forum staff.
4. If you do not believe a staff member's actions were in line with the Forum Guidelines.
I realised that I started the thread in the wrong section, please forgive me for the mistake, so in an attempt of putting things right, I started the thread here.
EDIT:- My goodness, now I put the wrong title, I'm really sorry about that.

What about an entry into this one?
There are already many stickies in ABT.
And I agree, magic SysRq keys can be handy ;)

I did think about requesting that the thread be merged with the one you are talking about, but then the solution would not be easily available for those who rely on the topics to find the solutions to their problems, I mean, most forum members including Beginners usually do rely on the topics itself to solve their problems as they may not have time to just read through a thread containing multiple topics and answers, especially since the thread you are talking about is rather big.

I think the problem is that there are too many stickies.
Then, there is also the problem of the people who need the stickies most not actually reading the stickies.
I would make sure there are some good keywords in the thread title. That way, if someone wants to start a support thread called "My system keeps freezing," she'll see right away that there's a thread explaining how to deal with a system freeze properly.

I agree with your solution aysiu, you and bapoumba are right, there are too many sticky threads in the Absolute Beginner section, but the topic you suggested aysiu, "My system keeps freezing", may not be accurate enough as it addresses complete GUI freeze issues, not temporary freezes which go away after a few minutes or so.
And I agree, magic SysRq keys can be handy
Indeed they are bapoumba, I remember that I used them very constantly when I was having problems with the Nvidia drivers and X-server problems on Feisty, they saved my HDD's and OS from being damaged any further, this is why I thought it would be useful for others:).

Well, there being too many sticky threads is one problem, but the main problem is that people who experience system freezes are not likely to be looking at stickies to find a solution.

I can attest to that aysiu:), I found this small but useful solution myself while going through a few threads with no real intention and I just found a person saying about this key sequence, I did not think it to be that important but remembered it anyway and it payed off in the end.:)

Forgive me aysiu, but I want to know if you changed the thread title to something better since I have not seen any title change up to now.

Which thread title? This one? Or the one explaining how to recover from freezes?
And what do you want the title to be?

The one explaining how to safely restart the OS in case of a freeze, and about the title, well, I do not seem to have any ideas, maybe you could suggest a good new title aysiu:).
