Are there any recommendations of good french to English (and v.v.) text translators? I've used babelfish a little on the WWW, and I had a decent one on an old Windows system.

I expect that I can find a better one under linux/ubuntu than I ever saw under windows.

Another nice thing would be a french text to spoken French enunciator.

I suppose a google search is called for here, but I figured I'd get some opinions in the forum

The wordreference forums. An automatic translator and a forum with real flesh people. Very handy.

Try www.cheapfrenchtranslation.co.uk, they're quite good for small enquiries and return users often get discounts for bigger jobs

Did you try dict? It's in the repositories and accesible through the terminal. I didn't use it for French-English, but as a thesaurus and for other languages, and I like it!
