View Full Version : Error when installing counterstrike source

When i log in and try to install source, steam hangs for a minute then spits out this error:

"Steam.exe (main exception): Win32 StructuredException at 7AD42C65: Attempt to read from virtual address 0 without appropriate access rights"

ive tried deleting the ClientRegistry.blob but it has not cured the problem. Any ideas?

i remember having a similar problem in my windows box...

simply browse to your Steam folder and delete the file "ClientRegistry.blob". Restart Steam and it should work fine
