eh..., what happens actually? Like you run the ubuntu installation from the CD and after the installation, you can\'t go back into Windows or there isn\'t any Windows left?

What is your computer configuration like?

example of my rig:
I got AMD Athlon X2 4400+ (S939)
2 gigs RAM
4 HDDs
Windows and Ubuntu installed on different HDDs
nVidia 7600 GT

I am guessing you have only 1 HDD and you installed Ubuntu over your Windows. So you need to make changes to the installation on the partition choices, probably.

You need to make separate partitions for Ubuntu.
Just make sure that that you install XP first in C-drive.
