Hey I just got ubuntu and I downloaded an icon theme file and I go to system-preferences-theme. Then I go to theme details and click the icon tab. When i try and move the index.theme into the Icon's box it asks me to install, I hit ok and it says file format is invalid. Did i do this wrong. I want all my system icons to be changed automaticly. I dont want to right click and do the preferences all the time.
Thanks so much,

What's the file name and where did you download it from?

First off, make sure you download icon themes from Gnome-Look (http://www.gnome-look.org) or Gnome Art (http://art.gnome.org). Then just drag 'n drop the file you downloaded into the main theme selector window. There's no need to open the file manually. Drag n' drop what you downloaded as is.
