Hey, where can I find a tutorial on how to do some really nice looking work like the glassy looking text in this image, using Gimp?

I can get a globe working just fine,

but I want to put some glassy looking text in there.

Surely this wasn't done in Photoshop? :)

I've got more gimp tutorials than you can shake a stick at, thanks anyway. But I didn't already have the second one, thanks, Paul.

What I wanted to know specifically was if anyone is aware of the actual way to make some text look just like that in the original image.
