I'm having some issues with the restrictions on signatures. While I personally think 3 lines is unnecessarily restrictive, that's not the issue I'm having.
The issue I'm having is that when I tried to replace my previous English hostnames with Russian-language words, I got an error about exceeding signature length. This is strange, because in both cases the Russian words were within a character or two of the length of the English words.
Old sig:
Centurion: C2D E6400, MSI P965 Platinum, 2GB Corsair XMS DDR2 800, GeForce 7950GT 512MB, 2 x 320GB Seagate, 3360x1050
Aventine: Celeron D 3.2GHz, i865G, 1GB DDR333, 2 x 500GB Seagate

Attempted sig:
Наталья: C2D E6400, MSI P965 Platinum, 2GB Corsair XMS DDR2 800, GeForce 7950GT 512MB, 2 x 320GB Seagate, 3360x1050
Валерия: Celeron D 3.2GHz, i865G, 1GB DDR333, 2 x 500GB Seagate
Registered GNU/Linux User #434555, FSF Member #5288 - This gave me a length error.
And my current sig, which is simply my current machine names transliterated into English, worked fine. I just don't understand why the "attempted sig" gave an error message.
Thanks.
