I was also having problems, but now sending an empty email with just registration code in the subject line, I did get my registration code.
So I think you need to make sure to send an empty email.

well there are only two possibilities:
1) u are not executing dpkg in the folder where u downloaded the deb
2) the file is corrupt.

anyway, thats not really qt. it is not designed to use native qt widgets from a kde installation. it is designed to look like windows 9x, which i think sucks ***. it looks just as out of place(if not more) in kde as it does in gnome.

was everyone also sent many codes for each system. For Linux there were two; linuxpowerpx and the other one. neither code worked for me :-(
did one have to put the code in within a certain time-frame?
damn, must be that and my bad luck again missing out, sigh,

Are you sure you are using the right versions of everything? I downloaded and installed the Ubuntu version from the Opera website and pasted the Linux Intel code into the registration code box. I don't know if it matters, but I'm always careful not to pick up any spaces in my copy/paste. It came back right away with a message something like "registration has been accepted".
I had entries for Linux Intel, Linux PowerPC, and Linux Sparc (I saved the page).
Sorry you are having trouble. I'm no expert, but this is what I did and it worked.
Good Luck,
Bill

Thank you Bill,
i've sorted it out. As you say there are entries for Linux Intel, Linux PowerPC, and Linux Sparc. Somehow i oversaw Linux Intel, and so no wonder i was having trouble with the other two entries.
What a klutz - a simple oversight - Yet, i'm happy it was something simple in the end.
Opera works, and everyone is right - it Rocks! \\:D/
thx again,
