Disallow replies after a period of time?

Just a thought here. I see many newbies reply to posts that are months, sometimes years, old. I think it would be helpful and useful to have posts that are, say, six months old or older read-only--it would help keep information current.

Yes and no. I recall threads that got solved long time after they were posted ;)
