How about a Ubuntu mascot .Tux is a Linux mascot. what we need is a Ubuntu mascot.I think the Gremlin would be a good choice.

You forget the Debian swirl on the penguin, and the OOo seagull, X.org X thing, cairo beetle, GTK+ box, GIMP doglike animal, GNOME foot, Mono sinister person (rather fitting actually) etc.
