I'm trying to get my mythbuntu box to work with my TV. it's an ATI radeon 9200 with TV out. I currently have another box with an ATI radeon x700 which is working. I'm going to post the xorg.conf of the working box and the non working box will soon follow to compare differences.

Working X700-based box:
# /etc/X11/xorg.conf (xorg X Window System server configuration file)
#
# This file was generated by dexconf, the Debian X Configuration tool, using
# values from the debconf database.
#
# Edit this file with caution, and see the xorg.conf(5) manual page.
# (Type "man xorg.conf" at the shell prompt.)
#
# This file is automatically updated on xserver-xorg package upgrades *only*
# if it has not been modified since the last upgrade of the xserver-xorg
# package.
#
# If you have edited this file but would like it to be automatically updated
# again, run the following command:
# sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg

It appears they use different drivers so they may not work the same way. Does anyone have experience getting the Radeon 9200 to work with a TV?

The 9200 is a r200 series card. TV Out support was being merged back in July.

http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=NTkzNg

I suspect that merge is done, but don't know for sure.

If it is, you should be able to use the xrandr utility to modify tv out settings.

xrandr --auto

Might actually do it, but I don't know for sure.

You won't be able to use the fglrx driver however, because it doesn't support the r200 and older cards.
