Im eagerly anticipating this game... anyone know if it will be possible to run it (with Punkbuster enabled) on Ubuntu?

I hope so.. will be nice to be able to boot Ubuntu and play it - I run most games on my Windows partition atm.

You wouldn't get the effects you might seek anyway I'm afraid but yes it might work.

i don't think i will run with punkbuster on linux als long as there is no native linux client.

It is pretty likely that it will run with Wine. Looking at the minimum requirements, it's not really that far above CoD 2, which runs quite well in Wine. The only thing that might hinder it is the copy protection. All previous CoD games used SafeDisk, which doesn't work at all in Wine. It is pretty likely that this one will also have SafeDisk. Punkbuster is a whole other story though, that has almost never been able to run in Wine.
