usb ir blaster help-mythbuntu

I have a usb ir blaster that came with twinhan dvb card and I am trying o figure out how to set it up. I have a universal remote that has MCE, in the myth control centre I choose MCE for my remote. I have no clue where to begin to configure. After searching, I guessing that it involves lirc. Not exactly how that works. Or, if its thats too much trouble for a noobie, could someone direct me to a easier way to get my MCE remote to work. Such as serial ir blaster. Thanks in advance

Have you searched through the backend portion of Mythbuntu. I know there are many drivers preconfigured for Mythbuntu there. You might also look through the control center. I have a IR Blaster remote that came with Hauppauge PVR-150 card, mebe you can select this card in the backend to see if it works regardless...

I will definitely take another look at the control centre, and try the Hp pvr-150 card. But as far as the backend goes I wouldn't where to start. Thanks for the help!
