I just installed mythbuntu 7.10 without any installation problems but cannot get any channels above 12. I am using schedule direct and can find no problems in any of the backend setup pages. Schedule direct has the correct information for my cable tv provider and the channel listings in the channel editor are correct. The program guide has all the correct listings. However I get video and audio only on channels 2-12. Higher channels only display static. I am using a Hauppauge Wintv -PVR-500MCE card. Everything works fine on channels 2-12. Any Ideas?

It may be that you have your card setup to tune us-broadcast instead of us-cable in mythtv-setup. I don't know the specific spot, but take a look into your card setup settings and make sure it reads us-cable.

My problem did in fact turn out to be using us-broadcast rather than us-cable. I made the change and now I get all channels. This form just made my day. Thank you.:)
