installation problem

hi, during the installation process the installer is unable to connect to the internet. is it because i am accessing internet through a proxy server.

do you have dial-up, dsl, or cable?

Or what you can do is go to the internet connection icon (usually by the clock) left click on it manual config (you may want to try right click) then choose your "broadband" connection to properties to DCHP or auto config...don't use a proxy unless you are a cyber criminal and don't want anyone to track you down...:lolflag:

hey i access net through the proxy server because that's the only way present in my institute. and my connection is dsl

proxies will be supported later on via command line argument, the easiest way is to simply downloading the ISO manually and placing it in the same folder where you have wubi

by the sound of things you need a proxy to get around a firewall or some other internet monitoring program...
