Thanks for the torrent :)
Deluge is already showing 2 seeders!
I'll keep mine open to @ least a 3.0 ratio, likely higher depending on activity/demand tomorrow morning.
Thanks also for the quick work on the forum (I'll probably be needing it)

We need seeders, the more seeders the faster your downloads will be.
This was just posted it will get faster as more seeders contribute.

yeah, I just wasted a cd because I did not think about it. I am going to burn it to dvd. I have an older computer I wanted to install this on, but that computer does not have a DVD player on the computer. I am debating about what to do with that one. I could throw a dvd player into the machine, but not sure yet. will think about it.

Hey RAV, is there anything wrong with your host? I keep getting alot of "Server not found".
I am currently on a shared host that has too many accounts on it, I just spoke with the host (a good friend of mine) that will move CafeLinux.org to another server with less accounts.
If we don't see improvements we could switch host, &/or move to a VPS host or possibly even a dedicated server.

As others have said, the default setup may be non-threatening to new users but it doesn't really showcase what e17 is capable of. Its pretty straightforward to modify (although the installed version has more backgrounds and themes available than the Live version). Seems pretty good so far and, although I'm not a web apps fan at all, it may just fill a market niche that no one else has really targeted.
The biggest problem I have had is that the gOS repos seem to be down.
I will uninstall the Google search bar too.

On an Everex gPC, or course. ;)
j/k... I would guess that, because it is based on Ubuntu 7.10, it would run fine in all Ubuntu compatible systems.

For those waiting for gOS to exit Alpha stage, *for me personally* I haven't found any crashes or reboots. Even hibernate works out of the box, which doesn't even work in my windowsxp partition on this same dual boot laptop!
I will say though that the gOS installer stomped my existing grub setup (as well it should as I blew away my previous gentoo install for this) and left my laptop unbootable after the install. I had to use the livecd, mount the root partition, edit the default file and create a menu.lst file by hand to get xp and gOS booting again.
Luckily my experience with gentoo made me completely confident in doing these things by hand;-)
I would imagine on a dedicated linux box with 1 hard drive the install would have just worked.
Just giving a heads up to anyone, and a thumbs up to gOS for being slick and fast and smooth! (This is on a Sony VAIO laptop PCG-K27.)

+1 on gOS stability (although the default e17 filemanager is, IMO, still buggy).

I downloaded the files from Linuxtracker torrent. md5sum was ok, burned CD. It is booting into first green gOS splash screen when I selected the first option there was an error while booting vmlinuz. Then I selected CD integrity check again it failed booting vmlinuz stage. Then I tried various boot options like acpi=off noapic nolapic etc. then it produced following error:
Loading /casper/vmlinuz ...... isolinux: Disk error 32 AX=4280, drive gF
Boot Failed : press a key to retry
Then I mounted the CD and found the md5sum of vmlinuz on a textfile and decided to check it. While checking md5sum of vmlinuz the error was:
Input Output error
I am planning to mount the iso and check the md5sum of vmlinuz on the iso and if it is ok burn another CD,otherwise replace the file from Gutsy.
