I know the beta is out but I was wondering if anyone had found an exact date of final release.

I prefer these forums and haven't signed up to the Linux mint forums yet.
Also, I've posted in "other os talk" so it was perfectly fine for me to post here as far as I could tell.
Problem is now I've been "answered" I'm less likely to get a helpful responce - Thanks.

Why can't people who don't know the answer to my question simply resist posting?
I don't want to know how to find out or what you like - I just wanted a quick date from anyone on this website who knew.

Maybe because you are posting in a section that promotes general chat about other OSes? As the first respondent indicated, if you want accurate information about a project that is not an official part of Ubuntu, you should be going to the source: the Linux Mint forum. No one here is responsible for tracking that kind of info for you.

I'm in the right part of this website to ask what I'm asking. If you don't know the answer yourself don't post, Mr. Prove-my-point.

Still doesn't change the fact that you're on the wrong forum if you want a quick, accurate response. What part of this concept escapes you? The first person who responded to you tried tell you this to be helpful and your reply was nothing short of rude. Calling me names does nothing to make you look less rude. Considering your attitude, even if I knew the answer off the top of my head, I wouldn't feel inclined to tell you. If you had been more civil I might have even made the effort to look it up for you. If you're too stubborn to look for the info in the best place to find it, that is your problem and no one else's.

It wasn't about quick and accurate - it was about me not wanting to sign up to yet another forum.
I was saying you proved my point and was not calling you a name. If you feel belittled by what I said maybe you're just small.
The only problem is the responses from people who don't know i.e. you.
If you don't know don't reply.

I don't feel belittled, but I do feel that your attitude is inappropriate. You are taking civil responses and turning them in to a personal attack. In the time you wasted being unnecessarily rude, you could have already signed up, found your answer and then happily ignored the Linux Mint forum for the rest of your life if you wanted to. But no, you would rather indulge in rude behaviour on this forum. I don't know what your major malfunction is, but get over it. No one wants to bother with someone who apparently indulges in ignorance just for the sake of it. Fortunately, these forums have ignore lists and you just made mine.

Could of done that before even posting once.
I stand by the rule - Don't know, don't post.
