I don't think they are, but they're all deb packages, so I doubt there would be much difficulty in running these games.

these look like the versions in hoary already.

wesnoth 0.8.7 - yep
freeciv 1.4.2 - yup
fillets .7.0 - oop this is higher

I don't think they are, but they're all deb packages, so I doubt there would be much difficulty in running these games.
It's not a matter of difficulty. Unless marked explicitly so, random deb packages on the Internet tend to be for Debian, and can have bad effects on Ubuntu. Debian and Ubuntu use the same format for packages, which is what leads to the misconception that it's safe to run all debs on Ubuntu.

What he said. Don't think cause it says .deb that it's for Ubuntu. You build packages for Debian differently then you do for Ubuntu. It may very well install, but don't be flabbergasted when you have problems down the line.
