Hey,
I was just thinking, it might be useful if the forums were to include a method by which related topics could be collapsed in a sort of "super-thread."
For example, rather than sifting through the forums search to find the 2893210 or so threads on compiz, or about the recent HD cycle worries, admins or other people could create a sort a kind of parent thread which links to all of the sub-threads, which could then be viewed in turn as usual.
