Hi again,

after i was able to install almost all the emulators on Ubuntu, i got the follow prob.

By synaptic manager i'm not able to install, or better i'm able to install gxmame but in the end when entering the gui tells:

NO xmame executable found.....when actually i install it.

I have tried to force the same version packages for

xmame-common
xmame................but without sucess..... (no,it's isn't from ubuntu packages :)

where can i download the deb packages for ubuntu same version of:

xmame-common
xmame

in order to do manually dpkg -i ....deb

Thanks.

i'm late..long time i didn't log on.. :)

Back again Hoary kept my attention :)

The problem i has it was because i was installing xmame and xmame-common from 2 different locations...so and if in time use only the packages from ubuntu.

You got solved and you can install the both of them without any glinch

THE REAL PROBLEM is when you install Gui for mame, GXMAME..no matter what you do you can't get a rom list....even if you configure everything right. bios etc....

So the only way to work is by our known and favorite command line.....tough i have heard that if you compile everything by yourself it works in ubuntu..never tried....
