ubuntu studio theme... not good.

The Ubuntu studio theme looks really good, I won't lie I love it! it's really good on the eyes.

BUT. for practical purposes it Sucks. In menus with radio buttons I can't tell if the button is pressed or not, I can't really tell if a text area is grayed out or not. and the Gray on Gray text look nice but is hard to reads in some situations.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a solution? I like the theme but right now it is basically unusable for some things... too bad though.

I don't know where the ubuntustudio themers hang out but I would like to tell them what I think is wrong with there theme...

my solution is to change my theme. but I would like another solution that look similar to the studio theme but has better support for reading the menus and settings of different applications.

I've seen some screenshots where it looks decent, but again I've never used Ubuntu Studio.

Thanks Paul820. and Codename its a great theme, but some things are not very good for everyday use. some of it is just to hard to read. lik in firefox the file edit tec menus when opened are all dark gray with light gray text. except for some reason the bookmarks menu. its white with lightgray text. don't know why. could be a bug on my side? don't know.

I third this... used UbuntuStudio for a week or so (headaches!). Does it really need a black theme (OO.o dosen't look good at all)?

Where can I download the theme? Not the whole suite but th theme, i used to have it then I reformatted and now I don't have it. I looked in the repositories and the theme itself wasn't there. Any help would be good. Thanx

it's in the repos under "ubuntustudio-theme"

just search synaptic for "ubuntustudio" and you'll find all the studio items.

at least thats what it with gutsy. I think when it was first released for feisty it was in the repos as "ubuntu-studio"
