Hi,
Would be great to have Gajim 0.8 in Hoary. The version 0.7 is installable, but cannot be used for connecting to Google Talk (you must specify the custom server option that is new in 0.8). The package is available in Debian unstable.

Not really if you do you might break something since breezy is still very much in development. It would depend on what dependancies the program requires. I haven't had a good look at it however I did build then found out that someone else had already done it :(
My suggestion is you wait until breezy is more stable. At the moment it would cause to man breakages imo.
