Back in July, I went to the International Rice Research Institute in Los Banos where they have a Museum. I noticed that in a giant monitor in the museum lobby, they were running Ubuntu 6.10 as I can see the familiar brown desktop.

I don't know if they kept it though but it was a welcome sight. :D

For Low end PC's pwede mo install Xubuntu or Fluxbuntu. install ka aptoncd then gawa ka .iso nung mga updates mo then pwede mo ipasa sa ibang Ubuntu box mo.

KFC NLEX Shell super station.

All KFC Philippines outlets uses Red Hat Linux

http://www.fujitsu.com/ph/casestudies/kfc.html

But nowadays it looks like they are using Ubuntu, like in the KFC near St. Lukes. Its noticeable its ubuntu because of its ubuntu logo. They always have this computer in the right side of the cashier in all outlets.

Di ko alam kung kailan u-umpisahan pero the Department of Education will be using Edubuntu na. Nag co-conduct na ata sila ng mga seminars ngayon sa mga teachers and staff.
Yung Day Care Center namin sa Barangay dito will be using Edubuntu also. It's still undergoing repairs sa ngayon so coming soon pa.

I'm not sure if it was Ubuntu, pero when I visited the National Library about three years ago, naka-Linux 'yung search stations nila.

May nakita rin ako sa HK International Airport, babae, nagse-surf sa waiting area sa kanyang laptop. Ubuntu ang gamit, kapanahunan pa 'ata ng Feisty Fawn that time.
