Hey all,
There's a development program I use that's only available under Windows and it uses OpenGL, and I was wondering if there were any Virtual Machines with accelerated OpenGL support?
I've tried VMWare, but it seems to just fallback to a software mode.
Virtualbox didn't even seen to have accelerated 2d, 16 colors at 800x600 res under windows 2000.
Haven't yet tried Parallels, but it's not in the feature list so I doubt it.

Is it possible to get accelerated openGL in a VM? And with good performance? (I tried out vmware's directx accleration and 3d performance seemed to be at best 1/10th of native, so I'm hoping openGL fairs better if it's supported anywhere)

I'm looking for exactly the same. Just posting to let you know that VirtualBox needs the Guest Additions installed in order to have proper 2D graphics. (I'm running Windows XP, not 2000 though.)

to my knowledge 3d accelerated graphics are not supported on any virtualization platform

has anyone tried to install "Analize3d" or "BeOs 5" in a VM? i wonder if that could work.
