Hi!
I have a questions. Why is the option gone that says that the toolbars should minimize with the image window.
This feature was the best one in gimp 2.3. now in 2.4 the feature is gone. Am I missing something?
I want that feature back. Was looking for old packages for gimp 2.3 but everywhere i looked, the files were gone.
Thanks in advance,

Now I scewed up gimp here.
As I said in my last post, I tried to get gimp 2.3 to work.
I never got it to work. Just got the loading screen and nothing more.
Then I installed gimp 2.4 again, but it can't start now. I got the message:
Libgimp version mismatch!
The GIMP binary cannot run with a libgimp version
other than its own. This is GIMP 2.4.0, but the
libgimp version is 2.3.19.
Maybe you have GIMP versions in both /usr and /usr/local ?
I have tried to remove eveything that has to do with gimp and reinstall gimp. but I alays get the same message,
Any ideas?
hopa to get this to work again. I thought gimp 2.3 was better than 2.4. bur without any of them, I'm getting crazy.
thanks,

Ok, i got the 2.4 working again after installing and uninstalling and removing files and install files.
But i got it working before and later I got that message again so there is no guarantee here :)
But I hope it will work now. and I will not try to get 2.3 anymore.
I can live with the toolbars not minimize with the image.

I had that to so what i did was
uninstall via synaptic.
Delete everything else.
Restart (logging off/on didn't help)
Reinstall via synaptic
restart again (as above)

Did you get it to work that way?
It sounds like to function have been removed in 2.4.
Hope it is back soon again.
