Amapi on Ubuntu

Amapi is such a great 3d modeller. There is a Linux version but it's quite old.

Has anyone tried installing Amapi on Ubuntu?

Yes I am a Blender user, but I tend to use different apps depending on the job and my mood, you know, a bit of variety! One gets spoiled in Windows.

For anyone who's interested, Amapi 6 runs pretty well on Wine in Gibbon. Good news for Amapi lovers.
