Well thank you so much for that link.Well I can't afford a new card so guess I'll wait for a fix.Shame the game ran good and only has that issue guess window will have to do until a fix for it comes out.

Just use wine 0.9.44 with a lights fix and the game runs good

I have the same problem with my 64bit desktop (which has an ATI card) but my 32bit laptop (which has an nvidia) runs just fine. As I temporary fix I found out that if whenever you change the language it fixes itself (temporarily at least) so I have just memorized where the options are and when I really need text I switch it to some random language and then quickly switch back to english. I also updated wine to version 0.9.51 and the text doesn't vanish anymore on my desktop but it becomes garbled about as quickly as it used to dissappear and togglijng the language fixes it temporarily again. Also I can only get it to run on my 65bit desktop with the -dx8 -noshaders flags (otherwise it's hopelessly slow and the ground is missing) while my 32bit laptop doesn't require either.
