I just got done watching all 13 episodes of Go-Open (http://www.go-opensource.org/go_open/). A South African based Open-Source tech show. You can find a download link above.

They were awesome! Except for the host. He was a tool. :) It showed very specific ways open-source software and linux were being used around the world. Most of witch I could imagine but the programs gave it a face. I was glued to my (plasma) TV all day. I was home sick. :(

It also gave me the sick feeling that the US is really behind in adopting open-source software. So many examples of how developing countries are moving forward in leaps and bounds. Africa, for one, I feel in my lifetime become much more important in the world. Watching these really shows their progression. And with their natural resources its gonna be cool to see what happens.

Ive tried linux MANY times over the years. Ubuntu (Warty) I had so much success with that Ive been switching over my PCs (3of6 so far) and learning alot. Im thinking about switching my HTPC but I really love MediaPortal (http://mediaportal.sourceforge.net/). Open-source but not for linux. :( Yes, Ive tried/used MythTV.

EVERYONE should watch these programs. They really got me jazzed about it all.

If there are no seeds on the torrents feel free to PM me and Ill seed. ;) Both torrents are 700 megs or so a piece.
