I've started a new Google Map for the Ubuntu-NorthCarolina LoCo.
You can find it here (or search for Ubuntu-NorthCarolina):
http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&ll=35.293691,-79.413986&spn=3.703014,5.081177&z=8&om=1&msid=108261248468866088697.00043d460456471cd63f4
Its a public map and I think you should be able to add your own locations to it. If not, maybe we'll have to figure something a little more fancy. Or maybe less fancy (send me your location, and 411 and I'll add you manually. ehh..bad idea.)
I was hoping to get an idea of where everyone on this LoCo calls home.
Cheers.

Well, guess I spoke too soon... Looks like I can share the map, but its read only.
I did find another site called Palatial that allows public map editing. You have to register to add a location. If you want try here

I gave it a shot. Not sure if I did it right. It's a pain to not be able to search an address and save it. Or maybe I missed that part.

I just added a location about 1.5 miles from my house. No, I am not paranoid. Actually it's just a good landmark, carmike theatre.

Anyone with a google account can collaborate this map and add their locations but they would need to be give access. My email is rgaspary@gmail.com add me as a collaborator so I can add my location to this map as well.
I think this is a pretty good idea because this will allow us to know who lives close by for help and also to meet.
