Sorry if I've made a repeating thread but I didn't know how to search for it.
I just installed Screenlets and unchecked "Detect Refresh Rate", following a few howtos here on the forums to improve performance :D When I shut my laptop down and rebooted Ubuntu, only the top left portion of the screen was showing when I logged in; the rest was black. Any app opened up would shrink down to fill that small top left portion, almost like the rest of the screen wasn't there while still keeping my resoultion of 1280x800. Long story short, I removed Screenlets and rechecked "Detect . . ", but still no luck. Turns out that if I disabled Compiz Fusion, everything went back to normal. I dunno what changed, but I'd like to have CF back the way it was. Any clue guys?
