I installed Longhorn Beta3 about 4 months ago and its fine, I have the power of Vista as a Server with out the cost. I'm going somewhere with this. A close friend of mine has been raving mad about Ubuntu, so I checked into it and its excellent. I installed Ubuntu 1 month go using Wubi. Wubu is very cool! I decided to upgrade to X Ubuntu with the new release. I unistalled Wubi and used my burnt copy of X Ubuntu. (The downloaded ISO is from the Ubuntu site). A few week back Longhorn had an update, the update corrupted my install of Ubuntu. Now when ever I use Wubi to install Ubuntu when ever I log into Windows it asks me if I want to uninstall Wubi/Ubuntu. The new release of Ubuntu does not support my ATi Radeon card. ATi .run file doesn't work correctly, or has no instructions. In short I am going back to the previous release of Ubuntu and I will use the ISO burnt to a cd with out Wubi. Thanks

I thought microsoft made sure all the beta versions of vista/longhorn stopped working when vista was released. One thing you might try is doing a full install of ubuntu and using vmware to run windows.

Not at all - this beta was released just a couple of months ago - almost a year after Vista final was released :)
