I have a Windows PC and when you try to power it up the power LED only flashes amber slowly nothing else happens.

anyone ever seen this before?

Battery could be dead. Is it plugged in? Sorry I can't help more.

See if the PS fan does anything... It might be dead or no longer powerful enough to power PC if you added add'l cards like dual-graphics adapter, etc...

Dell Dimension 3100 running Windows XP home edition

Battery could be dead. Is it plugged in? Sorry I can't help more.

the surface mount led near the batter lights amber as well. the PC was bout from Dell last September and was sealed and used until about 4 months ago.

See if the PS fan does anything... It might be dead or no longer powerful enough to power PC if you added add'l cards like dual-graphics adapter, etc...

No added cards and powe rsupply fan doesn't come on however something is telling me I should double check this. Will confirm and respond accordingly.
