I was running F7 on my powerbook when after odwnloading a divx video my system crashed. I did not have my dvd to reinstall so I pulled out my debian distro. When I tried to do the install it would freeze when attempting repartition the hard drive w/ 33% complete. I thought this was odd, so I have been wanting to try gutsy so I downloaded the iso burned it on an cd and tried to install but it would not boot. Someone in the forums said to try using the alternate iso, so i tried that and was able to go through the install process but the same thing happended! It would freeze during the partitioning of the hard drive. I tried both the guided and the manual partioning but the same results for both. does anyone have any ideas? is my mac finally dead?
