I don't know if this is the right place to ask about this.

But my problem is that I did purcase a second hand Pinnacle PCTV MediaCenter 300i PCI without drivers.

I'm trying to make this work under Mythbuntu (I did use the 7.10 RC), but it seems not to work. One of the problems might be that I live in Germany and can only use DVB-T.

Googleing for the card did finde some strange results.

My problem is that I failed even at the setup of the card. The system seems to find the card, but I don't even know what I should at the video card selection. Some seems to find the card, but I didn't find and channel with it.

My question is: Will this card work at all with DVB-T? And is there a dummy step-by-step guide for this card out there?

Good luck with this. I have the same card and have never got it to work despite numerous attempts and lots of research on the Internet.

But don't give up. I have seen various forum entries by people with the same problem that claimed to have had success, but selfishly they didn't share the solution in the cases I saw.

Hey,

it has been working for me since Dapper or so, but since recently (since using Gutsy I think) all dvb-t programs just crash and virtually freeze the pc for minutes. Although kaffeine finds channels, it crashes when trying to access them, though I can hear pieces of sound sometimes. Btw, analog tv works fine (in Germany, too ;)).

Before, when all worked fine, I just had to load the dvb-t module by typing "modprobe saa7134-dvb". Please tell me if this works for you. I hope so, and for me... I think I'll have to wait for Hardy....

Greetings,
