I've been running SIm City 4 using Wine on Kubuntu Feisty x64 with no problems, After upgrading to Gutsy no problems still. Well I switched my video card and now am running Compiz fusion, here is where the problem begins. Now when I open SC4 it opens but leaves the panel on the bottom of the screen. This caused the problem where I cannot scroll down. Well I hid the panel so that works but I cannot scroll up and sideways though, when I put the mouse in the upper right corner it makes the window slightly smaller then goes back. I am not used to Compiz but Im quite sure it is the problem. How can I go about having SC4 take the whole screen back or get Compiz not to do that shrink type thing?

I'm looking for a fix rather than a workaround, game for linux still takeover the screen properly so I figure there must be a way to corret this without turning off compiz each time I want to play.

3d desktop doesn't work well with games in general. My recommendation to gamers is to turn it off, it's just eye candy -- nice eye candy, yes, but if it hinders game performance and causes display problems, there's little use to leave it on.
