View Full Version : Remove "lost+found" Folders

On every installation the "lost+found" folder has been an eyesore when working with newly created partitions. I think 8.04 should remove these folders as they are not needed. I have read that the folders are created when needed (as per this post: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=229143). If I am mistaken please correct me.

Those are a file system level feature, it's not realistic to 'remove' them. One could suggest that Nautilus hides them (ie: treat them as hidden files) though.

Did I hear someone calling for something similar to Gobohide in the kernel? :)
