Anybody using Firefox 3.0 Alpha 9?

...and what is the best way to install this without interrupting the current Firefox?

grab the tar and unpack it to your home, then make the launcher>
~/firefox/firefox
link your plugins> rm -rf ~/firefox/plugins <> ln -s /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins ~/firefox/plugins

back up your .mozilla folder!

you can separate it using the profile-manager if you want, then make your launcher> ~/firefox/firefox -p (the 1 you created)

sorry short on time to go deep, gota go. :)

I am already using FF 3 Alpha 9 on Windows. I'm using it right now! I also have FF 3 on Ubuntu, but I can;t remember what alpha it is.

I've installed alpha 8 from the repos, but don't use it as it's very unstable. Is alpha 9 much stabler?

nope, still slow shutdowns, some lockups here and there when plugins are used.
