Here's my wishlist for the next release of Ubuntu Linux:

1. Ability to resize partitions during installation.

2. Welcome screen instructing how to make the system up-to-date, how to watch dvd/divx/xvid ... movies and listen to mp3s, how to install fonts, how to install Flash and other plugins ...

3. Templates for creating most popular documents (accessible via desktop menu).

4. CD Burning application (integrated in Nautilus) allowing me to burn Audio CDs and burning multisession CDs.

5. Gaim and X-Chat: notifying system. When I'm talking to someone and surfing the web at the same time I want something to "bother" me if I foreget replaying. It would be amazing if I could you the "Skype protocol" in Gaim.

6. Nautilus: "Bookmarks" or at least ability to add new entries in the Places menu. Handy for frequently used folders, FTP, etc.

7. Rhythmbox: needs two more functions - queue and crossfading!

8. Only one application for viewing images (gThumb?)

9. gPDF instead of xpdf, but it needs find function!

10. Automatic update!

What about your wishlist?

you can burn multi-session CDS in nautilus already. you cant burn audio cds in nautilus to my knowledge however.

5. Gaim and X-Chat: notifying system. When I'm talking to someone and surfing the web at the same time I want something to "bother" me if I foreget replaying. It would be amazing if I could you the "Skype protocol" in Gaim.

this is a prefrence setting in gaim.

7. Rhythmbox: needs two more functions - queue and crossfading!

check the rhytmbox page, this might be available in a future release.

10. Automatic update!

do a search for auto update on the forums here, many threads have ideas on this one.
