I am guessing that Ubuntu is going for the 2.6.23.1 kernel for Hardy and the linux-restricted-modules package is going to need a lot of work. I was wondering if the drivers supplied with the LRM meta package are also available individually? I would really like to check out the 2.6.23.1 kernel but the older madwifi and ati/fglrx drivers in the LRM package do not compile against 2.6.23.1 headers. The two drivers I need are the nvidia-glx (which has a seperate package) and ipw3945 (which does not). I'd rather use the debian package management system so I can easily undo these custom changes in the future when the ubuntu devs catch up.
