Crack Attack: how do you install sound?

I was looking through for a sound patch in what is easily the best block-based puzzle game in the world (well, technically, Tetris Attack gets the credit, but Crack attack gets satisfyingly close), and found this:

Unfortunately, the patch is for a rather late version of crack attack. I wanted to make sure there was a way to install and use this patch while using the Ubuntu package. Is there a way? Or do I have to play my game mute?

Aaaah, finally!!

Thank you very much for the link. Now I can play Crack Attack with sound again.
