Distorted fonts in compiz thumbnails and emerald themes

Super bump, this is getting worse. I created some new user accounts and they don't suffer with this problem. I deleted all of the old compiz settings directories and the and fonts directory in my home folder, but it's only gotten worse. Ok I just booted into my Sabayon install and changed a few settings in the Compiz-Config manager. While I was doing this the fonts started having the same problem! So does this mean the problem lies with the compiz-config manager? The only thing I did was activate the clickable hot corners for expo and scale, disabled "initiate" and enabled "initiate on all workspaces" via clickable hot corner in scale, and turned on the cube reflection.
