Hello,

Im am on Gutsy and i successfully installed compiz-setting-manager and enabled the cube+rotation.

I have set 4 Desktops in the panel configuration and the cubes shows using CTRL+ALT.

When i was in Feisty when i clicked on one of the 4 desktop icons in the panel down to the right i had the cube switching side animation. Now the desktop just switch without the animation...

I can't find the option in the manager to put this effect back...

Can anyone help me?

Thanks

Open the compiz settings manager, go to general options, tab desktop size. Set the number of desktops to 1, the horizontal virtual size to 4, and the virtical size to 1.

Could be a silly question, but did you have enable cube rotation in CCSM ?!

You have most likely set up 4 desktops, not viewports.

Double check if your config looks like this:
