Bluetooth that "Just Works"

Bluetooth needs to "Just Work". It works really well on my Win XP partition but it sucks on Gutsy. The main thing (at least for me) is Bluetooth Dial Up Networking. It is a pain in the rear end just to get it to pair up with my device. If Ubuntu is trying to get deeper market share this would go a long way to making that happen, especially for your tech-savy business traveler. If Heron can make this work then word of mouth would increase ten-fold ....especially with the advent of OS encryption on Gutsy.

I wish I could do this kind of programming stuff because it is something i would love to tackle myself so it gets done...however I just started learning programming [ie: teaching myself] last week (I was a history major in college).

I'd like to be able to pair up my cell phone and use DUN, OBEX, Voice Gateway, OPP, etc. without messing around in the terminal for hours and using lengthy guides.

At least I think that bluez-gnome will soon get the obex plugin. (file transfert support)

Agreed! I'd like to focus more on devices (mice, keyboards) and a GUI centric way of setting those up and managing them. File transfer is actually further along IMO.

Currently, setting up bluetooth mice/keyboards requires command line interaction and often these settings are lost over reboots or power management mode transitions.

This would be a huge feature for me for HH.
