So i set up an ubuntu server, got apache2, mysql, PHP, etc. all working correctly.
I want to be able to ftp into it so I followed a tutorial to set up Proftpd and set it up as standalone.
Now lets forget about connecting to it globally right now (that doesn't work at all even with ports 20 and 21 open) but when I access it with the local IP over the LAN, using FileZilla, I am able to connect to it, although its really slow, and get a directory listing.
I can download files off the server but when I try to upload files it spits back a "Critical transfer error".

I want to note again that its really slow, even downloading that config file took like 5 full seconds 0_0
Do you recommend I use a different program for my needs?
