Here is one small snippet from the story " But, contrary to what the headlines would have us believe, the biggest threat to Microsoft's continued dominance, at present, is not Linux. It is older versions of Windows."

I should have put inverted commas either side of "interesting"
I believe her article is a load of doggie doo but I put it up as an "interesting" angle on it . hehehe she will no doubt be as accurate with these ascertions as she was that the SCO case was credible

She's got a point on the linux front, that compatibility is biggest worries for linux. On the microsoft side, she's wrong: microsoft will never have a problem as long as the oems keep on putting the "newest, latest, hottest" windows on their new machines. Do you buy a new cell phone because the new one has a new option? or a better look?? No, so one shouldn't upgrade its windows when there's a new one available, just because the new one is out, nor should it be a problem for m$ since hardware vendors have the same problem: people don't buy the new car: they keep their car for ten years or so. Then why should it be a problem for windows???
