Same here. Well, at first it crashed because of the MSN Plugin when signing in, then I updated the libs, and now it crashes in under a minute, even though MSN isn't signed in o_O

I am close to foaming at the mouth, because only last night I managed to get everything running smoothly.

BTW I am using Gutsy.

Here's what the terminal says.

I've been having the same problem since last night. I ultimately resolved to just install pigin and use that until this is fixed.

Dunno if I should file it as a bug yet..seems like we all have different problems?

ok, turns out it wasn't a bug with kopete. assuming you are using kde 3.5.8, install this package with the fix:
http://kubuntu.org/~jriddell/kdelibs4c2a_3.5.8-0ubuntu3_i386.deb
